Grad season on the West Shore is busy: commencement, photos, dry grad and family parties can all land in the same couple of weeks. The simplest way to make the day feel big is to have the décor waiting, so the family can focus on the grad. We set up while you're out and come back to take it down.
Backyards in Westhills, Royal Bay and Happy Valley suit a garland along the fence or a freestanding arch for the family photo. Use the school colours, or the grad's own favourites, and add a hand-lettered sign with their name and year (Signature Celebration).
For the surprise moment, Pop the Trunk fills a car trunk with balloons, a banner and the gifts, and is set up within 2 hours of the reveal. If you're in Metchosin or the Highlands, ask us: any travel cost is in your written quote.

How much does grad party décor cost on the West Shore?
Pop the Trunk starts from $400 (Deluxe $595), the Party Pop-Up from $475 and the Signature Celebration, with a hand-lettered sign and styled table, from $1,025. Your written quote confirms the price.
Can you do a grad surprise in the car?
Yes. Pop the Trunk fills the trunk with balloons, a banner and your gifts, set up within 2 hours of the reveal. SUVs, hatchbacks and minivans suit the full build; sedan trunks get a custom quote.
Do you come to Metchosin or the Highlands?
Ask us. Langford, Colwood and View Royal are in our regular service area, and farther trips are quoted by distance, with any travel cost in your written quote before you book.
Can you use our school colours?
Yes. Tell us the colours, or send a photo of the gown, and we'll build the palette around them.
Is setup and teardown included?
Yes, in every package. We arrive before your guests, install, and come back to take everything down. Late-night teardown after venue hours can be arranged for an extra fee.
How long do the balloons last?
Indoors, our air-filled balloons last for days instead of hours. Outdoors, sun, heat and wind are harder on them: they look their best for about 6 to 8 hours, so we set up close to your start time. Helium balloons are an add-on, priced in your written quote.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can: we're a two-person team and dates go to whoever confirms first. We need at least 5 days to get supplies, so shorter notice depends on what we have on hand. Send your date and we'll confirm availability in writing.
What if the weather turns?
Pick Outdoors in the form and tell us about the site. Balloons don't love strong sun, rain or wind, so for outdoor installs we set up close to the start time and agree a covered spot or back-up plan with you before the day.
How do I hold my date?
A 50% non-refundable retainer holds your date and buys your supplies, and the balance is due before installation. Everything is set out in your written quote and a short agreement first, and nothing is ordered until you approve.
